It'll be interesting whether they show the ''big marraccas'' on the Bull Statue in the main street of Birchip VIC. They probably won't. We were taking photos of each other standing next to it one day, every local that drove past had a big grin on their face.

I find it pretty sad that most if not all of our latter day immigrants show no interest at all in the outback. We've never seen any in our travels and sometimes I think I should befriend a few and take them out west to camp for a few days. I'm not sure if they could really get to love it without all the stories we've all listened to over the years about the outback however. The outback as we know it is sure to disappear and sooner than we think. Great TV show!

Add me to those who thought this was a good show. Far too few of them on tv. Really looking forward to the Winton edition. Fell in love with the place when visiting a couple of years back. Very sad the Matilda centre is gone. May it arise from the ash.
The second one is on tomorrow night (Monday) at 8:00 PM - Winton - Heather Ewart visits the Western Queensland town of Winton and meets former Governor-General Dame Quentin Bryce.
