Introducing me myself and I

Hi my name is Jo and I am new to this site.

I have a jayco small camper trailer eg Dove which is have had for close to 4 years and love to go away with friends. At first I would only go in the car and van if someone would come with me as all my travel friends are couples and have caravans. Once I got used to towing and setting up I no longer require any company but still go where my caravan friends go except off grid as my camper is not quite set up for that.

I am now looking at upgrading and would like to do the big lap.

I would love to get a motorhome as I feel that would be the easiest and safest way to go.

Any other lone travellers with advise would be appreciated.

Im hoping to set of around June 2016 so if anyone is also heading off then please advise. Im leaving from Perth.

Cheers

Welcome from us Jo

lots of info in here if you do a search. Ask a question if you cannot find an answer by searching. Lots of helpful people in here only too willing to assist.

Pop your question into the Solo section of the forum, lots of lovely ladies and gents in there who travel solo.

The polo shirts in the shop are really good quality, look great and are very comfortable too although you may not like wearing clothes too often.

enjoy the playground we call Australia.

I am sure the chief of cheer will be along soon to welcome you as well.

Frank

Fanks for the intro KFC :)

Welcome to the gang jolmur, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I'm a full time Solo traveller and thought of Motorhomes through to Caravans and decided I wanted a 4X4 to get me out of trouble if it occurred unexpectedly so a caravan won out. I have no regrets at all and more than happy with my choices.

Unless you tow a car of some sort behind a motorhome you are stranded (sometimes) IMO. I have seen people set up for a while and have to rely on others to get things for them. That's not me, I try to be independent as much as possible. All IMO only.

Keep safe on the roads.
