Thunder Storms heading for the Nullarbor from the West

If you live in an area bounded by Carnegie to Giles to Forrest to Israelite Bay to Esperance to Carnegie you should continue to take action and stay safe with more thunderstorms to come.

THUNDERSTORM DETAILS:
As at 10.44am on 7 November the Bureau of Meteorology advises satellite imagery showed thunderstorms through the far eastern Goldfields and South Interior.

Thunderstorms will then extend further into eastern parts of the Southeast Coastal district during the afternoon.

There is a risk of severe thunderstorms in the warning area throughout Saturday.

Storms may be accompanied by:
 Damaging winds
Heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding
 Large hail.

IF DRIVING:
Do not drive into water of unknown depth and current.
Slow down, turn your lights on and keep a safe distance from other drivers.
Be alert and watch for hazards on the road

If it is raining heavily and you cannot see, pull over and park with your hazard lights on until the rain clears.
Take care in areas that have been flooded and be careful driving on gravel roads as surfaces will be slippery and muddy, and vehicles could become bogged.

That pic doesn't look like the Nullarbor that I have travelled on over 30 return trips.

Maybe not now days Delta18,   but it sure reminds me what it was like when we crossed it, way back in 75,

I travelled it in 1st gear with water Bow Waving off the Windscreen for more that 150km, this was the final stretch of the yet to be sealed section in S.A.

I was driving a 68 Holden Premier at the time, I covered the motor, using a full can or C.R.C. and the motor never missed a beat.

The Nullarbor had been closed for three weeks at that time, because of flooding, had no choice as we had to be in Sydney be a certain date,

Take care out there Silver Anchor,  Latest info rec'd is good news............

The severe weather warning for people in the area bounded by Hopetoun to Norseman to Israelite Bay along the south coast to Hopetoun has been cancelled, but people in these areas should take care when going outside and assessing damage.

There may be some flooding in lower parts, so watch out for that, have a good trip.
