12 volt tripping out

Hi Folks,

I have a problem with my Jurgens Sungazer 12 volt system when free camping. When I turn on the water pump and before I open the sink tap the system trips out and can only be re energised by connecting the generator up or by plugging the vans Anderson plug into the 4x4. I have tried opening the tap first and then the system works, I then have to turn off the pump prior to closing the tap, however if I try If I try to use the shower the same trip out situation arises.  The system works fine when connected to the generator or Caravan Park 240 system.

Your help/suggestions most appreciated

Thanks

Bill

HI Bill
I would suggest your house battery is sick/near dead!!!

Have it checked for capacity

IF it is OK, then you could have a bad connection in the wiring

Do you have a multimeter

If so check the voltage directly onto the battery posts

See what it reads before you switch anything on, then immediately the power trip

Yep low battery voltage and possibly controller is cutting out .. More solar , as said check batteries are holding charge ..
We had same issue with TV reception .. Found after fitting new batteries the TV reception came good. It seems areal booster didn't work, shutting down TV reception On low battery.

You can't have enough or too much solar ...

Hi folks,
On board battery had failed. Very annoyed to find that the dealership had fitted a standard car/truck battery instead of a deep cycle battery in my new caravan. Hence the
premature failure.

My thanks to everyone who contributed.

Bill
