Campbeltown is quite rural .. Just out of town there's plenty of places ..

Not that I've seen.

I usually stay at the Poplar Caravan Park in Camden. I'm there every 12 weeks for medical appointments.

I was hoping someone knew of free places in the immediate area.

Plenty of council parks on the Napean river ..

Hopefully, someone has stayed somewhere close to where I need to be and can provide some details.

I have until December 1 to get there and need to stay for 4 nights.

Nice park over at Bents Bason . Has BBQ area etc..

I would not risk camping in those areas. Too many ferals around there. I don't know of any recognised large camp areas.

You could try something like Bents Basin but it is $16 per person in daylight saving period or $11.50 other times.

Yes, I saw that one. I need to phone them to ask about 'the gates open at 9am and close at 7pm'.
