Hiring a caravan

Just wondered what would it cost to hire a caravan  say for 2 week ,have been wondering about it ,we have a van here that gets used about 0nce a month for a bout 3 days  then its parked up till next time,

so if i had to hire it out  18 foot single beds  what would i get for it on a week to week, just thought save a lot of expense for mainlanders coming down its not the car that costs its the van,

before every one rushes in its only a thought

Hi David, hope you are both well.

Mate, I wouldn't want anyone else using my van. I know it's "only a thought" BUT!

I would think you would get plenty of interest from people who already have their own RVs, but don't want to pay the cost on the Spirit to get it to Tassie.

You will find that 3rd party companies who arrange hireage will not only charge you a % fee, but may not be as careful as you will be in picking who uses your 'van.

If you decide to hire it (either yourself or through a 3rd party) make sure you are still insured. You may need some sort of "landlords" type vehicle insurance. You can also do up a good contract yourself (I have one meant for house tenants that you could easily modify)
