RE: INVERTER QUESTION

Thanks Peter, I have never heard of a green GPO. I thought the way it was being discussed here it may have been a GPO without a earth socket, so you could only use internally earthed appliances. Cheers Pete

The reason I mentioned a "green" GPO was to make sure it would be recognised as a different circuit and supply. In reality I truly believe the inverter should be a totally separated system from the caravan mains sub circuit, if there is a need for RCD and RVD protection so be it, however as long as safety measures are adopted during operation I would be inclined to think AOK.

Once again I admit my lack of full knowledge regarding inverters and their "normal" parameters in use.

From a practical viewpoint I have never had an issue, as I said I have a class 2 electric blanket and the chargers are all class 2.

Cheers

Hi Phil
It is generally considered quite safe from shocks to earth IF you only use class2 Devices
By the way I do hope that green GPO has double pole switching!
