Jayco's 40th Anniversary Rally

I had the pleasure of attending Jayco's 40th Anniversary held at Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park over the weekend 9 to 11 October.

On Friday morning we were all bused from Nagambie to Jayco's factory at Dandenong South where we were welcomed in by CEO and founder Gerry Ryan. Then we were split into groups and taken on a tour of the various workshops and assembly buildings. A lot of the construction was state of the art, an example being a large flat panel being assembled with the layout of the different parts being marked by an overhead laser, all the worker had to do was lay the part within the four points.

After the tour a barbecue lunch was served.

On Saturday night a dinner was provided at the Nagambie Lakes CP - as well as the meal a selection of wines was on the table with beer and soft drinks available from a bar. After dinner there was dancing.

Except for the accommodation at the caravan park everything else was provided free by Jayco.

Apparently there were 150 vans from four states and eight clubs taking part. That makes just over 300 people.

Thanks to Jayco for a great weekend.

Murray

PS: Gerry Ryan mentioned that they were looking forward to their 50th Anniverary. Pencil the date in for October 2025!
