We camped at Nyah Recreation ground last night. Water/Toilets/Dump Point and well off the highway.
On our way out I spoke to a couple (Mick & Lynn) who were cleaning the toilets. They are staying at Nyah for a few days and volunteer their time to clean the toilets. Have time on their hands and like to contribute to facilities that are provided by such establishments as Nyah Recreation/Harness Racing club.
Congratulations and well done to Mick & Lynn and no doubt other "Grey Nomads" out there who value add to the life style of the ever growing grey nomad fraternity.
Very happy to contribute to the "Donation Box" $5- utilizing toilet/dump point & water.
Yes - Nyah is a top little spot, and there is a Saturday market once a month, honey, biscuits, cakes, fruit, vegies and more - the people in the General Store/Post Office are very friendly, and helpful. And Geoff, who sells honey, is a storehouse of local knowledge, he comes round the campground most days, loves a chat. Wood Wood, 10k west, the store does the best steak sandwiches!

A lovely spot on the Murray. It can get very popular at times though & end up looking like a Chinese Laundry with old Buses parked & clothes lines hanging everywhere. Great in quieter times!
