It's a lid lifter -- Lid stand (up off the ground) -- Camp oven stand -- The reversed lid can be used for cooking bacon, eggs pancakes etc when used in conjunction with the attachable burner tray.

I think its a good idea that could be handy when camping.

Toyota jack handle is the go!! Already on board, can lift the lid or the camp oven with ease, long enough so you don't get scorched by the fire.

I usually cook with heat beads and use either a pair of vice grips of multi grips to lift the lid.
I also keep a open mind on new things that come on the scene and check out the pro's & con's to see if it has merit.

Ya have to admit the concept is well thought out. Like everything yank they have inventions for inventions . Did a lot of fishing when I was there on posting and you wouldn't believe the gadgets they have in the sports and tackle shops for such a basic sport and living outdoors
