Slip streaming is a process that incorporates MS updates into the original Windows software so if you have to do a fresh install of Windows you don't have to download and install all the updates issued by Microsoft since the original version was created. Saves a heap of grief when performing a clean re-installation of Windows particularly if you have limited download capacity as I do.
Troopy, the reason I don't want to build my own is because of the huge amount of data that needs to be download to make a slip streamed version up to date and I have a limited download capacity. When I lived in a house with T3 cable connectivity it was no problem but now it is.
