Navman My Escape III 7" GPS Unit

I did search the forum for information but it only came up with posts older than 4 years.

It is time for me to look for a sat nav, I had a Garmin few years ago and it kept getting me lost so I gave it away.

I have been looking at Navman My Escape III but see very mixed reviews on the unit.

Is anyone happy with theirs or do you have better suggestions.

Thanks.

Thanks for that info Dennis!

I left my computer on Dicksmith website over night and the Navman MyEscape III went down to $308. No camps 7 though.

I just found this, so I will speak to my Auto Electrician and ask him about it, and could be the answer to a few gadgets on my (to buy list)......... www.digoptions.com/GPS_Isuzu_Dmax_2012_Nav_Bluetooth_Car_Player_p/avn-h04-b.htm

I quite like the idea of not having it stuck on my windscreen.

I am a great believer in HUDs, to save having to look down for info,

especially as I have gotten a little older and a lot slower mentally.nod.gif

I have my Hema GPS on the wifes side of the ute - that's why we keep getting lost if I don't hear the verbal instructions from it LOL

Shes a great and wonderful person (well, so she tells me everyday for the last 70 years), but as a navigator, even the Syrians wouldn't employ her in their air force !!

Usually, in city traffic, I turn the GPS towards me, tell her to stop talking, pop out the CD and navigate myself. Then I can only blame myself
