stopped at West Wyalong showgrounds last night. Had power and water on most sites and van areas were pretty much flat. Toilet block was pretty disgusting, SWMBO refused to use it and waited until we went into town for her needs. Certainly need a good clean. The whole place generally had an uncared for look about it. For $20 a night not really good value for a showground
Dear Crusader 1, it is unfortunate that you had an unpleasant experience at the West Wyalong Showground. It appears you camped in sideshow alley.
It is disappointing that on your Adventure holiday you did not take the time to venture the 200 yards around the Showground to discover the brand new well maintained facilities that we installed for our campers. I am sure there were other campers staying there that nigh that would have directed you in the right direction or if you had asked Jim our friendly caretaker he would have definitely helped you.
I hope the rest of your holiday is more positive and if you return our way that you will stay with us again and have a better experience.
it appears we were parked in sideshow alley along with a number of others. The night we were there we did wander around the entire complex but there were dozens of horse people camped around there for a rodeo or some meet on the weekend. We did see some other ablution blocks there but didnt venture into those as they were no where near our camp and were busy.
looks like bad luck we picked this night to camp there but we didnt see any signs directing anyone anywhere else but where we were parked.
