Sorry mate! I did think I had trouble going up one of the many hills in bad weather though, I thought I had lost power but silly me had it in manual (selective shift) and forgot to change down a kog.
Did I say bad weather, yep, rain all the way from Greens Lake, central VIC to about 1 hour south of Ballarat. I also had a strong head wind all the way. That makes a big difference to fuel and speed for those that might not know yet.

Many many years ago I visited the maritime museum there they had movies of the last sailing ships going around the Horn. well worth a look. See how wooden ships and iron men worked together. Also see the gun emplacements along the shore, built to stop the Russians invading Australia during the time of the Crimean war.
Middle of winter a few years ago we were on the south coast in Warnambool and we stayed at the Figtree Holiday Villag. The great part is they have this big indoor heated swimming pool with spa. We loved it so much we used it twice a day every morning and nigh.
We were hoping to see whales. After staying there over a week they turned up the day after we left.
Cheers
Jon
