HUME HIGHWAY WITH ME ON IT

Well,  I left Yass area from the roadside rest area I stayed at last night, Munndoona Westbound. Nice spot with clean toots but no showers and quite a bit of road noise from the big rigs so have some ear plugs handy. No complaints from this black duck though. More on that in my next uodate.

Now, The Hume Hwy. I travelled this road until Benalla and just for something different to the last couple of weeks there was hardly any cars, caravans etc or trucks, very quiet in fact. I nearly had the road to myself.

For some unknown reason the Collie wouldn't respond at Benalla turn off and hung a right onto the Midland Hwy and I found myself heading through Shepparton, next thing I know I am at Greens Lake, bugga biggrin.

I said to myself, self, you better stay the night as you are tired biggrin

Doug....mate....you obviously didn't google the Hume HW.

There was a warning up on it from the controlling shire and Main Roads advising you were going to be on there. They advised other drivers to avoid it at all costs for the safety of themselves and their kids until they saw on this Forum that you were off it and issued an all clear of wild war horses !!!!!  giggle.gif giggle.gif giggle.gif giggle.gif giggle.gif

No the old one for me mate. The Hume Motorway, busy around Yass at night.

Phil, behave mate, remember the naughty room.

The cap is off the Gas heater Cloak in readiness for a chilly morning but as we speak very nice indeed outside with 27c as I arrived this afternoon.

The Collie has me trained Paul, um, that should be, the twins have me trained.

Must be Greens that has the magnetism Dennis, not me mate.

Water is up high, all that know Greens, very high. I am about 3ft from it, niiiiice.

Yeah, where are all the grey nomads going in Victoria currently, we drove east along the Princess HW towards Sale, passing about 20 vans between Wurrugil and Sale.
Are they heading to Greens?  We went to Dargo instead... Now down on the 90 mile beach - no vans here either.  Good to finally have some warmer weather.
