Mt Isa

Hi all.  just wondering if anyone is going to be around the Mt Isa area from Monday 14 Sept or if there are any free or cheap sites to stay at.

I'll then be heading to Cloncurry and heading east.   Cheers

Midway between Cloncurry and Mt Isa - Fountain Springs Rest Area nice little spot with clean toilets, picnic tables and shelter sheds. Mt Isa SES run "Stop, Revive, Survive" on weekends. It's a bit on the smallish side so you will need to get in early. Camps 7 302

Clem Walton Dam - not far past Mary Kathleen, on opposite side of road - heading towards Cloncurry. Or World War 11 Airfield, 50k west of the Isa.
