If you don't get stung by the high prices there, there's always the jellyfish that await you on the beach !!! hmmhmmhmm

Hear hear to the high prices especially at cable beach. We were there in mid july and I can't remember the name but the cafe/restaurant was nice looking over the beach but was very pricey and it amused us that the service stopped between 11.00 and 12.00 to change from breakfast to lunch menu it was a bit weird.
We were lucky with no stingers on the beach and absolutely perfect weather though.

And the local tour operators and shops have been moaning and whinging for the past two years how tourist business has dropped 40% and blaming WA people for going to Bali instead. I wonder if its because two nights in a CP and food in Broome will pay for return flights, accommodation and food with great service in Bali???

The business people of Broome are so inward looking all they can see is their bowels !!

A few years ago Broome set itself as the FIFO destination of Oz, they hate low cost or free campers and as the local shire president has financial interests in a couple of caravan parks, this stand will remain.

Now the holiday families can go to Bali or Thailand for less cost, good on em ! let overpriced Broome reap it's own demise. 15 years ago Broome was a paradise not anymore.
