Caravan Park Cairns

Hi

Just putting it out there if anyone has a suggestion for a good caravan park to stay at in Cairns.

Preferably a quiet park without all the children friendly stuff.

Don't get me wrong here we love kids but as there is only the two of us travelling and would like a bit of quiet time away outside school holidays.

Crystal Cascades is probably a safe bet, although it is a Big4 Park it is about 14 kms west of Cairns near the rainforest and a bridge too far for most young families with kids. It is only 10 minutes or so into Cairns proper and shops and facilities are close by...a good quiet park.

the other Big4 Park 'Coconut' is great but huge and very busy, as well it attracts families and plenty of kids.

We just spent a week in Cairns - Have a look at Babinda Boulders; www.tripadvisor.com.au/ShowUserReviews-g499629-d2487037-r302083367-Babinda_Boulders-Babinda_Queensland.html
This is a truly magical caravan stop. Even if you don't camp here it is certainly well worth a day trip. Free camp No 9 in Camps7. HEMA 18 G 6.

15 minutes south of Cairns you'll find Fishery Falls Caravan Park. It's a beautiful little van Park with very friendly hosts.

Looks nice the Babinda Boulders, will have to take a look while there thanks for the link

Like the look and gallery of Crystal Cascades and Fishery Falls and a bit out of town may be just the quiet place we are looking for
