Ballarat Council last night voted 5 to 3 in favour of continuing the Free Camp trial at Pioneer Park against stiff opposition and the Ballarat CEO recommending the closure of the park. Over the next 3 months till the completion of the trial period the free camp needs your help if in the area - please stay at the park if you can comply with the conditions of self containment and 48 hours limit and of course if it suits you to do so - everyone has been great in this regard over the last 9 months so thank you. There are no facilities at the park so self containment is a must. The park is supervised by CMCA members daily. They welcome you and collect some basic survey data.
