MAJOR ROAD WORKS SOUTH OF GYMPIE QLD

Yep, major alright. Just south of Gympie for quite a few KM and I tell you that for free. No problem though as everyone was getting through just a little slower, down to 70kmh with a couple of short spots 60kmh.

Also and as well even around the Byron Bay turn off NSW,  again no problems.

It will all be great when finished.

Keep Safe out there.

Yes Doug it is inconvenient now but the end will be worth it. There have been a lot of very serious accidents on this stretch of the Bruce. The upgrade is many years overdue

There are some fantastic streches along the Bruce now Jen, a credit to all concerned really and to think in the not too distant future the Bruce hwy will be a fantastic duel motorway all the way.

If only people would drive a little slower in the bad sections.

The big problem with this is that as you head out of Gympie, they have torn the road up so badly, it's eating our tyres (going to Brisbane regularly for medical reasons). It's like they've run a ruddy great front-end loader over the road, to tear it up.

The rest is pretty good, a bit of a challenge at dusk after a long day, but once finished it will be great.
