I am going to fit a grey water tank to the caravan when I buy it later this year and have been researching treatments for holding the water. Unfortunately I have not been able to find much information 'on line' and called into BCF today but they were no help either. Should you use black water treatments and, if so, do you use the same dilution rates as for the loo. (Would have thought that as there are far fewer solids a lower rate might be recommended) or are there other products better suited?
Would appreciate you feedback/help

We don't use any treatment per se, but put washing detergent into sink/hand basin/shower and flush with hot water every now and then.
We also leave say 25% in tank and let it agitate around a bit as we drive to clean the bottom of tank and then dump.
I also cut a piece of garden hose and drilled holes along about 800mm (to match tank length) and when home insert into tank and turn water on and turn hose 360 degrees to clean/flush inside of tank, but this may be a bit of an overkill as in 8 years now never really had a problem.

A cap-full of napisan equivalent down sink and shower just before travel, then empty out when stopped at a dump point and all the residue and gunk comes out easily, once or twice a year pressure wash out with a drain cleaning attachment on a Karcher or similar.
I put 1/2 cup engine degreaser in tank every 3rd or 4 th MT to remove any grease etc ..
We use. Dishwashing detergents and domestos most the time in general use..
