The small bench top, one or two hot plate Induction Cookers that are available on flea bay etc.. Are they any good? My hot plates are slow to heat up & slow to cool down, these seem ideal for a quick cook. Only would be using on mains power at home.
There's another older thread re these cookers somewhere on here, but yes we have had one for 3 years now and wouldn't be without it ! we even keep an ebay cheapie as a spare, but the old one, an Omega, keeps going strong.
Any pan that a magnet will stick to will work, I use a couple of cast iron skillets, mainly, or my wife uses a steamer on it for her veggies. Brilliant piece of kit.
But most pans now are induction capable my wife informs me.
They are fantastic.$49.00 Kmart boils 2 cups water in 30 seconds just like a microwave only faster if you want it.Can control heat as required. You must have steel/magnetic cookware
Cheers
