Hello to everyone

This is a Newbie first post. After 10 years of planning and saving etc., hubby and I have semi-retired to travel, volunteer and work our way around and through this beautiful country of ours, without an end date!!

We purchased a Kedron ATV 18 months ago, drove from WA, via Nullabor to Brisbane to pick-up, and came home via the Great Central Road.

We are madly culling, donating and packing for storage at the moment, as we are renting our home.

If anyone has helpful ideas on what to pack and not to pack (or point me in the direction of where it has been discussed before) - to cover all seasons, some fishing and metal detecting along the way, we would be most grateful.

For example - today we have laid out on our bed, clothes for hubby to take - and at the moment it looks like I may have to stay home and commute. smile

Looking forward to some happy-chats.

Cheers

Welcome. I did the Great Central Road twice in 2010 for work and sorely regretted having to keep moving. I would love to do that drive at a much more leisurely pace.

Good Luck

Welcome to the gang JenBond, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I must admit that I haven't heard of the 'Great Central Road' so will have to look that one up and check out.

Keep Safe out there.

And it's welcome from us two 2
We are still learning what to pack and what not to so can't help much
There some seasoned travellers here so maybe they will spot your question and chip in some suggestions

Welcome Jen bond,

we always pack to much & bring some items home untouched even though we are aware of loading up the van to much. For an extended tour if I am unsure about an item to take I subscribe to the " big & cheap leave it home or small & expensive take it school" every trip for me is a learning experience,
