Jayco problem with water leaking into tanks.

We own a 6 month Jayco Silverline.  We use the main water supply for our water at the caravan park.  The pump is off and our 2 water tanks is empty. But the last few months both water tanks is filling up slowly with water and once its filled the water comes out of the breather, even thought the selector switch is off (see pic - arrow is pointing up).  We have emptied the tanks, then we have turned the selector to bottom, left and right and still both tanks are filling with water.

We have taken to Jayco Adelaide and told to them to replace the valve with a one way valve or to fix it.  But the Jayco people says there is no problem and the water is not leaking back into the tanks.  But still water is leaking back into the tanks.

Do you agree that we need replace it with a one way valve, even though Jayco says no.  What do you think the problem is?

Thanks for you time.

That tap position is to draw water from both tanks when using water from your tanks with electric pump. Off is 180 degrees opposite, facing up.

Thanks Paul...you were right, I have edited my original post. My husband was playing with the switch when I was taking the photo. Water still leaks when the selector switch is off.

Had a similar problem with our Heritage. Turned out to be the non return valve at the 12v pump not seating properly water was trickling back through the pump
Interestingly I purchased a galv fitting from the hardware shop brand new and it did the same. I had to purchase a genuine Brass one from a plumber to rectify the problem.

Hope this helps

Yes had the same problem, water was leaking past the oneway valve in the pump. I cleaned out and it lasted a while, started again about 2 month ago. I am going to get a oneway valve and insert it in the line before the pump. Hopefully this will fix it.
