I am also travelling on my own,and living in my van whilst I do get to meet lots of very nice people of all ages, I turned 50 years young this year, is very hard to find a female travelling companion around my age, due to a lowerback injury suffered at work was forced onto a disability pension so retired from the workforce early, the positive is I have a great opportunity to travel this beautiful country and get to see nature at some of its best and take photos,hope to post some soon on the site, from N.S.W have seen part of QLD but still have plenty to see, currently back in N.S.W hope to travel with some friends to S.A in OCT where will probably stay for awhile, I have a Toyota landcruiser 6 cyl turbo diesel and a Nova revivor single axle van with ensuite, highly recommend the lifestyle and will enjoy meeting all the great people out there travelling the best place on earth, John
Lots of this amazing country to see - don't be looking for a travel companion, just meet lots of people, and if it is meant to be, you will meet lots of travel companions.

Hi John, I am early 50's, but age is just a number. It's the person that counts. I am heading off to Bundaberg at the end of August, and then just to wherever the wheels roll in September - somewhere in central/west qld probably. thanks for the replies, have met a lot of nice people along the way , partly what makes the journey so good, at Berry showground near Nowra N.S.W at the moment going to hang around this area for awhile have some things to do then just heading of to where ever, home was not far from where staying catching up with some friends , family and a few car wear and tear jobs needed the usual brake pads,new tyres, and had service, replaced front shocks and got bigger rear springs was a little low in rear end, to much inside the car probably, all good.
