Gee,this ADR change was slipped through quietly and unannounced by the previous federal government in April 2013! What a disgrace? The commonly recognised "best practice' in the Australian RV industry for more than 40 years has been to extend engine exhausts to the rear area behind: all rear passenger seats, HWS flues, airvents, combustion air intake of accessories - like heaters etc,240V generators, behind virtually any permanently unsealed openings. Why change it? Unbelievable! I put an article in my local rag. Apparently the UK and Europe do NOT have to extend their exhausts to the rear! So Labor thought it'd be a good idea at the time if we were forced to do the same! But there is no medical or scientific evidence to support this deletion decision? The Feds believe because Euro 5 emission standards are so stringent breathing in diesel fumes is NOT UNSAFE! C'mon folks email the Commonwealth Ombudsman(ombudsman@ombudsman.gov.au) and demand reversal of this stupid idiotic non-sensical ADR deletion slipped through without any vote by every State and Territory Transport Minister as required by the rules.

I don't have a motorhome but reading the 'exhaust variation' article it says you can still have it coming out the rear, so where is the problem, or have I missed something?
