Need to replace 12 volt element in my Dometic Rm 2350 3 way. Label on fridge states 150w element and although there are 125w and 175w elements available I am unsure as to what I should purchase. Both new elements state that they are for the RM 2350???
I am sure the new 2350 dometic fridges run 175w elements for 12v & 240v. Ours in a Mercedes Sprinter Campervan is a 175w & performs brilliantly whilst travelling & we had an auto electrician wire it up with appropriate heavy gauge wire & vsr cut out. It will even freeze things in the freezer whilst travelling on 12v.
I note your concern & perhaps it might be worth your while contacting a reseller for advice. I looked on ebay & several state 175w & one 125w in their specifications. One advertising 175w elements for $99 had answered some peoples questions & may be worth following up with. Sorry I don't know how to post a link but if you go to ebay Australia & look for: element 12v 175 3way fridge RM2350. I have no connection or had dealings with them but I noted one answer as saying something like, the 12v element seldom fails & most problems are to do with the supply of 12v power.
