The new Jayco van come December, has a 22lt hot water heater Gas/ Electric.
Does this mean it will heat and stay heated, a total of 22lt and for how long.
How long dose it take to heat to the maxium. I assume the gas wouldn't take to long Can both of us get a tub out of the 22lt, if I go first before Lambie.
Jim, ours heats in about 20 min. to half an hour, and enough for two showers, but that's not including teenagers.Thats on 240 volts.
On gas I can have a quick shower in ten min.
It keeps the water hot just like the hot water cylinder in your house.
Hi Kiwi-as,
Thanks for the info, its great to be able to find out in advance. Its little things like this that sit in the back of your mind after signing on the doted line.
we have a standard hot water heater which is gas/electric.
when we use it (in a CP - its their showers for a long , slow one), we wet down our body, turn the water off, soap and shampoo all over, then wash it all off (take the shower off its holder and use the hand piece where its needed in the difficult parts). This way you have plenty of hot water and don't empty out your water tanks so quickly

John, I will tell you in a few days time. It is on my to do list in getting the van ready for travelling again, removing the anode, checking and then flushing with hose.
