Suburban Hot Water system

My Suburban SWDEA is now 3 plus years old and it is playing up.

I employed a local gas fitter in Kilmore and they came out and inspected it (they had never seen one before) and discovered that Ignition switch (part # 41 in the maual) was burnt out and so off to purchase the item. It was $ 91.00 and they then came out to relace it.  Fine the unit started gave us hot water for the night.

However as we were not using the bus for a few days I turned the unit off.

Then today we wanted to have hot water again....but you guessed it...not even a start.  And yes I have checked all I know.  power, gas...  all ok but no ignition..

Any help ???

ps. Do I keep spending on more call out fees to get this going or just get a newby?

Cheers and thanks for your assistance. Oh !! its Bl567dy cold showering with cold water here in Kilmore...

cold water in Kilmore - you're lucky that it's flowing and not frozen.

Take it back to the repairer and tell him to fix it properly

I agree with Ken.

For future reference I would probably take it to a caravan repair specialist or dealer next time. Im not sure all gas fitters are into these types of units.

I believe there are special angles that need to be correct for the burner to operate correctly (may be wrong as well).

Cheers
