FREE CAMP AT ARDLETHAN NSW - A GREAT FACILITY

Posted this on another thread but worth saying again in it's own thread.

Short term self contained facility, 240V power $2 for 12 hours (or we put in $4 for afternoon/overnight) toilets (clean) and a small park and BBQ.

SENT TO COOLAMON COUNCIL TODAY

Thanks for the Short Term Caravan Park at Ardlethan, absolutely brilliant facility.

Arrived on cold afternoon, found the site and decided to stay rather than go on to West Wyalong.  Just spent $28 at supermarket, $10 on local raffle tickets and tomorrow I'll get diesel here rather than West Wyalong and need about 120 litres so about $160 again to be spent. Maybe a coffee before we head off tomorrow.

So thanks to your council/community we will spend over $200 here rather than West Wyalong. We love small towns and take back roads to enjoy them and support them if we can on limited budget. We will be back and promote this facility to others.

Cheers Barry

I have stayed there a couple of times over the years. Spent money in the supermarket and enjoyed a coffee and cake at the café.
I think the Bowling Club had a fire a while ago. Is it up and running again?

I stayed there Monday last week, used the power overnight, also spent S20.00+ in the supermarket. Great spot just far enough away from highway to be quiet.

Can I ask where this Free Camp is situated in the town?

Regards,

Mike.

We stayed there on our way up north earlier this year - great spot - and fantastic value for the power. We also went over to the supermarket before we left in the morning to get a few things.

Nice of you, Barry, to let the council know people appreciate this camp.

Goolagong (also in NSW) is another great little camp- had a meal at the pub - $12.00 and delicious. Power and water, toilets. Can't remember how much it was, but very cheap.
