Yes, a cotton reel and 4 nails. Maybe I should show the grandies how to do it and try and get them off their tablets some times.

I got a real Knitting Nancy one birthday and made a very long snake, Gran sewed it into a round pot holder and put some flannelette backing on it and gave it back to me.

I gave it to her for her next birthday and it hung on her oven for nearly 40 years.
