Does any one have any experience with these cookers? I am looking at a Baumatic one but am wondering if there are drawbacks that I would never think of.
Any help much appreciated. I have also posted this on the techies forum.
Don't forget that they use more power in startop mode than the old systems
It's ok when you are in a caravan park it can be a problem when you use it with a generator when you use more than one
They are verry cheep on Evilbay
Brilliant piece of traveling gear, so efficient and quick so actually useless power, I only run ours from mains power so cannot comment on from an inverter set up.
They are so cheap and good we bought a second for a spare as my wife uses it all the time when in parks.
Thank you for your replies. I was interested as friends have a 1600w hot plate (very similar ). I would only use one when on powered sites. As it is 2000w I think that is a bit harsh on a genset.
Hi , we have the Eco heat as the pic, and although a little more expensive than some ,you can set the power from 500, 800, 1000, or 2000 watts, we run ours off 1000 watt inverter at 500 watts on the cooker, no problems.
I am 100% with Greg on his his choice of these, esp for the selectable power. No matter what you run it on it performs flawlessly. just remember on full power it takes seconds to boil 1 litre of water. on 500 will take longer of course but can happily do so on a solar panel.
Use ours everywhere we go, got so used to it now use them (we so loved the first one bought another) in the kitchen when home.
