Coromal Excel 512 (2007 ) - opinions please

Hi all

Does anyone have anything to say good or bad about the above caravan or Coromal in general.

I have been "hearing" good things and am seriously considering one at the moment.  What good is the GN Forum if not for these matters of serious consideration me thinks !

Also - guys and gals - what is the verdict on single over double in the bedding dept ?

Looking forward to your thoughts

Mike

G'day Mike. We have an 07 Coromal Corsair 512 . Pop-top.

Coromal . We had a 2012 , Coromal magnum 401 pop-top , but found it a touch small.

Ideal to tow , over-night here , overnight there was ok , after a couple of nights though ,

we were in each others way . Last Nov we 'back traded & went wider & longer .

Our Corsair is ideal 6" wider & 4' longer than the Magnum .

Still Great to tow at 95 to 100k's , understandably a touch heavier on fuel , might have to

back off a bit . Single beds are OK with us & we got a sheet of "memory foam" , beds are

now terrific . We did talk to a couple at Cffs show when we bought th Magnum . They also

had a Magnum , but put a ply piece & mem foam & had a east-west double bed , bloke didn't

mind th back of the bed  . You will work it out .

If the deal is Ok . GO for it . I can't fault my Coromal .

Hi Mike .We had an 07 for 2 years ,in a word ...great ! light ,easy to push up ,insular, good boot size.plus plus plus .Ours was a single bed unit and it really gives you a more open area and also good storage. I fitted a duoetto HWS and a couple of tool boxes on the rear bumper and that's all it was fine .We only sold cause its time for bigger trips with a dunny ! We got the same money back as a trade in as we paid for it too .Good luck .John.
