Like a good latte?

Camped up at Wuruma Dam for a while, we thought that the bread, water etc., delivering guy Jamie was a great idea.  Well, there is more, we have had a young couple here, who set their travelling coffee machine up near the toilet block every morning to make us coffee lovers beautiful coffee.  Unfortunately, they are leaving tomorrow, but you might see them in a camp near you, the coffee machine is funding their dream of travelling Australia.  Called "WALKABOUT COFFEE" say g'day to Paul and Tracey if you see the , and buy a coffee or hot chocolate, the even have some biscuits and chocolates!

Good on them for their initiative!

I say Good on 'em too.

What a great initiative ... & I'm not a big coffee drinker ....  but I'm sure that SWMBO would just love to happen across them.

I wish them luck as they may well need it. The outcry from caravan park owners over free campers denying them income may possibly be joined by cafe and roadhouse owners.

Wuruma Dam is about 50k from Monto and 30 odd k from Eidsvold - nearest towns. Not many would drive that for just for a coffee.

I personally think they are showing great initiative.

Hi Jules. Did they say if they were doing well with this great idea??

So many small towns have no coffee machines at all, or its those horrible pod machines or the free for drivers instant coffee?

Cheers Bruce

Ah, so that's what they were doing up there, drove past them when I was leaving last week. Would definitely have bought a cappuccino or three from them had I stayed longer, they deserve something for their initiative.

They are fully set up with a proper espresso machine, same as most cafes have - and I know myself, their coffee is great, they mix their own blend. In some places, like roadhouses, all you can get is instant in a styrene cup, or instant machine coffee, which is far too sweet for me. They said they did quite well at Wuruma, which was the first free camp they had stayed in for any length of time, three weeks. Lovely young couple, if you see them in a camp, stop and buy a coffee, keep their dream alive.
