Just what I would have expected of you Doug. Reckon you were like Mr Spock (the Vulcan one, not the baby doctor) - you were born with two big hearts.

Thanks all but I'm sure any one of you would have done the same thing. If we can't help out when needed the world is doomed.

As for 10,000 post's, I don't take much notice really but someone a few moons back pointed it out to me. I just enjoy the forum and get heaps out of it. I remember a couple of other members that reached that figure. Marj is still posting away but my good mate bigW has been grounded by MrsW. Now bigB has turned up like a bad penny biggrin

I will just keep doing what I do, enjoying here.

Well done Dougwe a thought full act and will be remembered by them and many others for many years, and not to take a single thing from you good deed Dougwee but reading these posts here I am sure that every one of them would have done the same thing had they been there at the time and that is a wonderfull thing to know that there are still lots of people willing to lend an unselfish hand to some one in there hour of need as we never know when the shoe may be on the other foot as the saying goes.
Some time ago when my parents were alive and in the senior cits I drove the buss for them and every one thanked my very much as I were only in my fourties then to which I simply replied that I too will be old one day and I hope that someone will do this for me and others who need it

Dougwe there are so many people that just drive by and wave at you as you struggle to get done I have had it quite a few times in my travels, the only one to stop and offer to give a hand was a truckie. Thank you for the kind words. I forgot to say on behalf of the lady you helped out a big thank you Mate.

I just heard about another current story of a couple on another forum who were camped in the bush outback of Kalgoorlie, the husband was taken to Kalgoorlie Hospital with blood poisoning but the wife was stuck in their caravan in the bush.

A good Samaritan friend of mine heard about their plight and after contacting said husband in the hospital arranged for some of his rellies that lived in the Kalgoorlie area to go out and collect his wife and caravan and take them to the nearest caravan park pending her husbands return.

Good to know there are still decent people around who are willing to help out, I take my hat off to them. smile
