Hi Mike, It is not a CP but the showgrounds at Lawnton are pretty good. I think they are about $20 per night with a maximum stay of three weeks.

Lawton showgrounds is also close to electric train service into Brisbane , If you want to be close into the city there is Newmarket gardens caravan park but very hard to get into in August has it is book out for Brisbane Show , If you just want to be on the north side of Brisbane and stay in a caravan park Scarborough holiday village is a great place to stay at waterside and public transport to Brisbane city , There is another showgrounds on the north west at Samford showgrounds . Not much choice for caravan parks in Brisbane .

The Newmarket Gardens caravan park is very close to the city and bus to city is across the road from the park , They have a lot of people who have long term bookings for the Brisbane show each year but later in the month you maybe luckly .

Thanks again for the ideas, visiting my Sister at Griffin which is why I asked about the north side, as well as looking around while we're there. Leaving from Adelaide and going up to Three Ways, then across to Gladstone and down from there.

Haven't ever been Nth of Sydney, apart from 1-1/2 Hrs in Brisbane when I flew in to meet my Son tow a loaded car trailer with him over two days!! Yeah I remember a lot about that weekend Not!!

Regards,

Thanks Brickies, you've just confirmed what I thought would be a good site after looking at it this afternoon.
