best bakery

smilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmile Just to let you know ,If you are travelling up to nth Queensland and in need of a tasty treat I can highly recommend the Malanda bakery in the Atherton tablelands inland from Cairns.Being an expert pie& cake eater they are rite up there with the best. Also tied for 1st place is the bakery at Mareeba they are second to none just back from the main drag ,they are to die for.To get to Malanda just turn off the bruce Hwy at Innisfail and head on towards Atherton.biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

The pie van in Cardwell is one of my favourites. We judge an area by the pies they sell.

A great caravan park half way between Atherton and Mareeba has owners who often turn up for happy hour with home made pies and other nice tucker and it's a very friendly and reasonably priced park as well with large sites we stopped for two nights and ended up staying for a week heaps to see in the area.
