Try this manual ... I has a description of the temperature control. There is a small plastic arc that can be changed from low , med, high, I think. Its on the face of the unit under the swing down door of the HWS.

Cupies has the right information for the Gas side as long as it is the same for the Australian version. But there doesn't appear to be any adjustment with regards to the 240 volt element side.

Spot on .... I keep forgetting about you more modern guys who have gas/electric models.
I have a surburban SW6DEA hws which is not giving HOT water.The temp is quite low and uncomfortable on both gas and electric.Does this indicate failed thermo?
