For the benefit of the new members, be aware that when you post or comment on the Forum, someone might PM (private message) you - its just like an email.
How do you know if someone has PM'd you?
Towards the top right of every screen page youre on is your log on name. In the same box it will show if you have a PM waiting to be read. Simply click on that and it will open into your email summary screen (like an inbox) and then just click on the message.
Very simple to use.

Also, if you've configured the settings correctly, you will get an Email sent to your nominated Email address to advise that there is a private message waiting for you at the GN forum. This way you should never miss a PM which is easy if you automatically log in. Good Luck.

For those not familiar with amending your profile, go to the blue line with links on it above. Click on "User Details." On the resulting page you will see a panel on the LHS headed "Profile." There are links lots of things under it to change how you use the forum. Clock on the link "Settings." Then you will see a heading "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages," click on the yes radio button.
There are heaps of other things their you might like to use. One I like to use is "Email Digest of New Topics." I have set it to email a digest daily, it arrives sometime after 0730 each morning.
Each time you change something don't forget to click on "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
At the bottom of the Profile panel you will see a sub box headed "Private Messaging." Click on the link "Messages" and see how many PMs are there that you did not know about.

First time I saw this topic, I was on my tablet, and none of it made any sense, because the tablet doesn't show the blue line or who you are logged in as; it only shows the logout button and a menu button
