What a lovely time we have had today, met up with Doug here in Townsville and had lovely morning cuppa which spilt over to the pub across the corner for lunch. Pete and Doug traded techie talk about the Colorado and we spoke of lots of other topics inckuding our trip to Cape York next week -minus the car and van! The afternoon was then spent walking all over what was previously Jezzine Barracks at Kissing Point. A fantastic day all up - thank you Doug.

Shut the front gate!

What a meet up it was too. I saw on tonights local news that a iron pot was found down at the Stand missing a leg, JUNE biggrin

Pete and June, it was great to meet both of you and I really enjoyed your company over a morning drink then a lovely lunch at the pub. 

I said to my daughter over (them) having dinner that I had met two really nice people today.

I even fitted in a short poppy nap later in the afternoon and I tell you that for free  biggrin

Thanks Pete and June, travel safe my friends.

Here till September at this stage Denis. I think you mentioned a few moons back you might be in the area around July, for memory, but Uncle Al might have got up before me that day.
