sharing mothers day

Hello Everyone, I flew to Gladstone to share a very special day with my 4 year old grandson. First - off the plane to a beautiful site - 4 grand children , 2 boys 2 girls under 4 seeing me and excitedly yelling "Nanny, Nanny, Nanny" while all running to me. Went to Kindy for Mummy and Nannys day. The children sang songs to us and then we had lunch. He introduced me to all his friends and anyone near him he told them "this is my Nanny". Every time he saw me without food he went to the table and brought me back something, cakes, sandwiches, dips. He gave me a beautiful bookmark with the a Grandmar poem on it and made a beautiful bracelet for me. How did he know that is just what I was wanting. Then:  off to get 5 year old brother from school and even the lollypop lady said " hello Nanny, I knew you were coming" and as he went past her he said pointing to me "that's my nanny". Drove back to Brisbane with another 2 grandchildren under 4 yesterday. Fantastic trip making up stories for us all to join in and contribute , singing songs and poems. time went fast. And today - lunch with 2 of my children and the best part - they paid. Wacko. Can't do better than that. To all the mothers out there HAPPY MOTHERS DAY. Hope this post made you feel happier.WP_20150510_16_11_47_Pro.jpg

OK I'll reply. Sounds like a wonderful day and well worth the trip. Visited 3 grandies today aged 5, 3 and 1. Had to play Barbies, colour in, play ball, help 5 year old read. They grow up so fast and I always try to remember by age 11 or so (if we are still here) we will no longer be the apple of their eye. They are so precious at this age, take as much time as you can get to be with them. Miss 8 and brother 6 arrive for a 3 night sleep over on Wednesday.

Tora
