GIN GIN SHOW GROUNDS

Thought I would let everyone know that the Gin Gin Show Grounds (King St) west of Bundaburg QLD not only is a great place to stay with friendly caretakers etc but now has a Dump Point. It is located next to the mens toilets. It wasn't here when I stayed last year unless I missed it of course.

"Hey there Oh feathered One,"   Maybe it was dark the last time you were there. You know what they say about people going out from one's Tee Pee after dark,  sprint.gifbiggrinbiggrindisbelief

I didn't say the above then biggrin

Must walk around with my eyes shut. I am parked in a different area this time so noticed it tucked in behind the wall.

No harm done. Still a nice place.

I can only get SBS channels Rocket. $18 per night for me, includes power and water if you want. The same if you don't want, so I hooked up to power. Phone and Internet both good cover, Telstra anyway.

No drama with TV as I will watch some stuff on my laptop through the TV.

Not sure about Waruma sorry.

Not sure exactly. It's a couple of years since I was there, but it's only a couple of hours max. from Wuruma I think.  Maybe even a little less.  Some-one else might know for sure.

Cheers,

Sheba.

The thought just popped in to my head having not traveled much yet these dump points is there a fee or are they free to use wherever they are

Yes I know a dumb question if you know the answer but I don't so I'm gonna ask anyway

From Gin Gin drive towards Mount Perry - and then on to Eidsvold, there is a detour, and you come out near Ceratodus Rest Area, north from there following signs for Wuruma.

The road across from Gin Gin is a good road, a few hills and a few bends - but nice trip anyway. We come up through Gayndah, Mundubra and on to Eidsvold - good road.

The CMCA have done a lot of work to get dump points in a lot of towns through the country, most if not all are free. Usually showgrounds if they have dump points are free. Some caravan parks will let you use their dump point but usually at a cost if your not staying there. Camps Australia Wide have a list of dump points

The one here is just a concrete shaped pad with pipe and screw top lid on. It's not the blue ones supplied by CMCA. Maybe just put there by the council. Good on 'em too.
