I have a problem opening the rear door of my tow vehicle due to the handle height of the hitch. I asked a caravan service place what can be done and was told about hitch-Ezy. I have found them on the web and they look impressive but then so is the price. Before I shell out a substantial amount I wondered if anyone on here has one of these or any details on them.

There are some on ebay, I purchased one for our MH...excellent. Look under hitch extensions.

I had this problem with previous Patrol but when I upgraded to new Patrol and had them fit Hayman Reese tow coupling it was lower than original - so I suggest you look at getting a hitch that the flat on hitch naturally sits lower a new tounge may be cheaper way to solve your problem

there are a few people on the forum using the newer style McHitch automatic coupling with good results, and they also solve the tailgate clearance problem.
