I think it's meant to be Edi Cutting on the King River a few kms South of Moyhu which is South of Wangaratta VIC. A popular & well known camp. We stayed 4 nights in November last year, absolutely beautiful.
This time of the year would be muddy, damp & cold. It's not unknown for it to snow occasionally in Winter. Some great wineries around the area as well as lovely scenery.
Have a great time & don't get bogged!

thanks for the replies. It looks like we go out of Benalla. About 3 1/2 hours from us. Have bought hot water bottles. I might take gumboots as well. Looking forward to this. Have just come back from Ayers Rock. Cheated and flew there.
