Its probably time to give serious consideration to sealing it although it is one of our iconic outback red dirt roads that was one of the roads that was on my bucket list along with the Oodnadatta track the Gibb River Road the Savanna way and the Birdsville track with the only one left being the Birdsville.

seeing as the VIC govt thinks its a great idea to let the road toll company to think up and plan/build the new East/West freeway and the company and the Federal govt should pay for it, with tolls in the city for a couple of generations, I think Tony should tell them to get lost - use their own State money (how many $M's are they shelling out to cancel the previous planned FW?)
The $3B that Tony was going to give them should go to this and many other more deserving areas. Sorry Melborians - but you voted them in !!
