Why is everyone off the air its only 10.55pm Or is that early to bed and early to rise. Mr Abbotts got a big supprise. Watch this Space, he's out to get us all. Keep watching the ABC
WE are general the last with lights out, but conversely when we awake and open the door of the van, a large % of the other overnight vans are gone. I must say that the only problem in ( trying) to sleeping late is the noise some... yes some make when breaking camp early. WE average leaving around the 10.0am mark.

We go to bed when we feel like it - sometimes early, sometimes late. After a gathering around a fire, we might check out the internet for a while, then wander off to bed half hour or so later. I get up early, Billeeeeeee usually doesn't surface until 9am - loves his sleep!
And yes - we often go to bed surrounded by vans etc., and when we wake up, there has been an exodus - oh, could it be our snoring that chases them away?

I'm awake early still, always have been, so tend to go to bed early if I am on my own and watch TV or something from my portable hard drive or even a DVD. TV goes off at any time I feel like it.
Don't need lights on as TV gives enough light.

However, when camping and running on my own 'power' I prefer to be in bed about 9pm-9.30pm after sitting by the fire or just watching the stars - weather permitting of course.
As a result of many years where my employment dictated that I be at work at or before 6am, my 'body clock' wakes me around 5am no matter what time I go to bed.
When camping the best time of the day is watching the 'first light' turning into a sunrise - again weather permitting.
If I am travelling, and will be moving on that morning, I still don't hurry - I often don't leave camp until 11am - I like the hour's drive and a stop somewhere pleasant to have a relaxed lunch. I then stop about 3pm-3.30pm - for arvo smoko and to set up camp for the night. Let the circle begin again
When staying in a van park, or where I have 240v, I tend to stay up until 10pm-10.30pm. However, I am still awake at 5am and, dependent on where I may be, I am usually finished brekky by 7.30am - ready to face the day.

This is a topic where people have to live & let live, like Iza said no mercy for late bedders when she is up @ 4.30am, we are all travelling to enjoy our space and time as
we see fit, but with a reasonable consideration for those around us wether it is 10pm or 4am, cheers to you all
We go to bed early because we are habitual early risers, 5.00am usually. Our jobs required rising early before we retired & we still have the habit which we enjoy.
Our days are usually spent bush walking considerable distances & after a few glasses of wine with dinner we go to bed no later than 8.30 usually.
We're not interested in sitting up watching the ''garbage'' screened on TV.
We camp out in the bush by ourselves mostly so noise from other people is non-existant. Just the gentle sound of an Owl to send us into the ''land of nod''.
Boo-book Boo-book.
