I just bought some 8" coach bolts, and they work OK for me.

The 'peggypeg' pegs have been mentioned in an earlier post. They are available direct from the Australian agent or through eBay by the same seller.

I have been lusting after the aluminium ones for two years now but cannot justify the cost - nearly $25 EACH! (Don't forget to include the mailing cost.)

There is another company in England selling similar screws for tents - have a look at www.screwpegs (but unable to remember if it is .com or .co.uk - try both). Screwpegs have a lovely 30cm plastic peg with wide flutes - perfect for sand, mud or dare I say it, snow. Their other items are essentially coach screw types of pegs. They also have videos of how to use cordless drills to drive the pegs into the ground.

Thanks Aussie Paul. I would have had to exit the forum to check it out then come back in and start typing all over again.

Same thing I got - coach bolts - mine have the nut like top - no the one with the hole, they burr out too quickly.
