Not sure which specific ones you are speaking of but I did buy one from Ebay, $9 delivered. Works a treat.

Good for checking temp of fridge contents, wheel bearing temp etc.

Yep I've got one too. Use it now and then.
Good for wheel bearing temps, and camp oven cooking. ....best for making sure ya beer is at the correct drinking temp !!! biggrin

Yes I have one for checking wheel bearings,I got had price wise though I got mine at SCA at a cost of $43.00.

we orderd one on advice of some members

we got a email that they are no longer available ( the $9 dollar one )

and we did paid all ready for them by paypal

the email stated that we had to wait for 4 weeks before we can claim the money back

incase they still send one out to us,so wait and see

i purchased one of the above on eBay but from a company in Victoria,

delivered within a day or two and find it to be a very good product.

The cost was $18.99 inclusive of postage.

Having waited for weeks for items from China in the past I now try to deal with an Australian supplier whenever possible.

Me too Cupie, same dealer, notified paypal, got a reply that they are now investigating. It's not just the 10 bucks, it is the principal, if you let them get away with it, they will keep doing it.
