We have a 1987 Viscount Grand Tourer. We are doing a bit of renovating on it and our main problem at the moment is hot water. In Queensland the rules on gas hot water systems have become very strict so we have had to remove our Paloma Gas Hot water system.
We are wondering if anyone has installed an Eco Instant hot water heater? We have looked at all options but I don't want to have 17 - 20 litres of water sitting on one side of the caravan. We do not require nor want to run a gas heater.
Thank you for your information. Apparently there are quite a few folks going the same way as your friends with an external gas heater. We do not have any spare room on the front of the caravan, and I would not be interested in having it on the back of the van due to having an accident.
I also wonder about Insurance, would they regard this as a risk. Insurance companies are getting tighter and tighter each year. Again thank-you.
1.5 litres per minute for 40 or 50 degree water??????
Not hot enough to wash the dishes.
You would be better off with the jug on the gas stove.
And at 13.9A, you won't be able to run anything else except lights at the same time.
The ECO Hot Water unit will only change the temperature of incoming water by a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius at 1.5 litres per minute, and 25 degrees Celsius at 2.5 litres per minute. EG Incoming temperature 15 degrees maximum water temperature will be 50 degrees.

Garry, I see no problem with it on the rear. Is there a gas cylinder attached to it? If not then it would be OK
