Looking forward to hitting the road again.

I am champing at the bit again. After house sitting for 5 weeks and currently staying with friends for a few days, I cannot wait to hit the road again. It is awful as I sit here catching up with friends and enjoying their hospitality, and all I can think of is, how many more sleeps before I leave. It sounds so ungrateful, and is anything but, however life on the road is in my blood and it needs to be satisfied again. I know that my friends that do not travel cannot understand it at all, and that is fine.

Yesterday having lunch and chatting with Frangipani and Spida only served to stir the restless soul further. So tomorrow is pack up day and then into Sunbury to have the hair done, say goodbye to my best friend for quite some time, and head back towards Sth Australia to meet my new grandson, check on my Mum, and then look out Western Australia here I come.

I am so looking forward to meeting up with old friends, and making new ones as I travel to Broken Hill, across to Pt Augusta and then across the Nullabour. I will be travelling with friends until we hit Esperance at some point, no time limit has been allotted and then as they head home I will continue to explore WA. Who knows when I will return to the East.

As Neil(Diamond) sings, I"ll be travelling down that blue highway...........

and we will do a lot of it together.

Fran and Vida it was so great to catch up with  you both again. Hope it will not be too long before we can all do it again. Travel safe wherever you go and and whatever you do.

Yep - itchy feet - we have been spending time around Brisbane, but have moved on now. We will be heading to WA later in the year from "somewhere" - we have no plans till then. Hope to see you over there - don't forget Seabird first weekend in October!!!

Well done Sharon, good feeling to get back out there in the playground after helping someone out so they too can enjoy time away from home knowing it is being looked after.

I too will be hitting the road next week after house sitting for the last four weeks, only I'm heading north to the tropics.

Keep Safe.

Know how you feel Sharon. Can't wait to get on the road myself. Have been over a month at Hervey Bay at sons. Just spent a couple of days down in the Redcliffe area catching up with Beth54 and Travelbug. Great to meet Travelbug at long last and great to meet up with Beth again, which we seem to do about once a year.
Heading back to sons now and away next Wednesday heading north to Sheba before heading West.
Itchy feet is an understatement.

We will have our farewell on Friday as we may not meet up for another year.
Just stay in WA until we come in 2016.

We are now at the end of our voluntary work 16 weeks and ready to start working again.

Life is full of fun and the road is the only way to go

I know exactly how you feel Sharon. Happy travels on that blue highway. biggrin

On Saturday, I'll be heading South for a couple of weeks...then back for a few days and then heading North and ??? for as long as it takes. smile

Incidentally, "Itchy Feet" is the name of my van. I don't have the decals back yet...but they will be ready before I head North

Slightly OT...Marj, after years of "talking" it was great to finally meet you and talk face to face. Between you, Beth and I, we sure did plenty of talking. smile

Safe and happy travels everyone.
